June blog day 12 - food, inc.

you're meaghan me crazy

<div align="center"><a href="" title="you're meaghan me crazy" target="_blank"><img src="" alt="you're meaghan me crazy" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

have any of you heard of the movie food, inc.? I just finished watching it and I definitely recommend it!

I don't think it's for the light of heart and I really don't think any vegetarians should watch it. it's not super brutal towards animals (like unfortunately some documentaries are) but it is still pretty rough.

I love animals just as much as the next guy and absolutely hate to see them getting hurt but I also believe in the food chain. I like meat and I don't think I could/would ever give it up completely. however this movie changed the way I will be buying a lot of it from now on.

now, obvi I'm not going to sit here and say that I will never go into sobeys and buy something from the other side of the world but I definitely will try not to

it mostly made my feel so bad for the little guys. the farmers who have owned their farms for hundreds of years are getting sued by huge companies for doing something they've done their whole lives. just don't make a whole lot of sense.

if you've ever seen it let me know your thoughts yo!

Well, I haven't seen this one yet but I have seen Earthlings and it would have made me stop eating animals. That is for sure. But I was already vegan. :) As you know I don't believe in the food industry, there are so many things that go wrong. I think it is a good start that the documentary makes you start thinking about where you meat comes from.

That is a very eye opening film and I did enjoy it! However, seeing the few clips of animal cruelty still bother me to this day. I hate watching things like that. It was very informational though and really opened my eyes!
