this is a very exciting training tuesday!  linking up with tamzilla and abbey as per usual!

this past weekend I completed my first ever 5 km race!! woot woot!

I know 5 k isn't a lot to some people but it is to me!  I got to run with one of my best friends which made it ten times better (and I probably would have walked at least once if she wasn't there!).

we didn't plan on dressing like twins...

I think I have race fever.  there is another one this weekend that I want to enter so bad but I really need to save some cashola.

our official finish time was 28:45 which I am so so happy with.  better then any runs I have done on my own.

oh and did I mention that we ran in a tropical storm?  I'm talking 30+ mm of rain and winds like a mofo.  it wasn't until it was over did I realize how cold it was!

I had the absolute BEST supporters in the world!  my mom, dad, two sisters, niece and most AMAZING boyfriend were all at the finish line when I got there! (my bro had to work) and katie girl ran right out when she saw my cross the line!  pretty exciting moment for sure.

thank you thank you thank you a million times over to my family to be there!!!

maybe someday it will be 10 k or a half or maybe even a full marathon!

you guys all rock!

Great job on the 5k in those conditions!!! I ran a 5k this past Friday in the opposite weather (sunny and hot.) It was not as fast!

That is a fantastic time and in those conditions - GIRL YOU ARE A NATURAL!

I love that y'all unintentionally dressed alike, y'all look adorables.

And I know about that running bug, that's why I get sucked into signing up for so many races! I actually spend my extra money on race registrations now instead of clothes like I used too. It's the weirdest thing but I love it!

YOU ARE SO AMAZING!!!! Seriously Meg, that is a HUGE accomplishment, and your time is BADASS!!!! I'm seriously jealous of that, because my best time is around 35 mins. UHH-MAY-ZINGGG!!!

And you WILL do a 10K and a half marathon one day, trust me!! :)
