everyone may be done of all their Christmas baking so I'm sorry for the delay but I have to share the best gingerbread cookie recipe there is!
1 cup sugar
1 tbls ginger
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp cloves
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 cup butter
4 cups flour mixed with 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
preheat the oven to 375 F.
bring to boil sugar, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, water and corn syrup, remove from heat.
in a large mixing bowl, pour e mixture over butter and stir until butter is melted, than cool it under its lukewarm.
stir in flour mixture and mix well.
cover and chill for 30 minutes. mom usually divides it up, wraps it in Saran Wrap and chucks it in the fridge, it'll last for a week or so.
then when you are ready to bake them, take it out for at least ten minutes so it can soften a bit, roll it out (using LOTS of flour) and use your favourite cookie cutters and bake for 12 to -5 minutes.
