I mentioned a few days ago that I was having a cooking party and it was a HUGE success! I ended up with 9 kick ass ladies, lots of food, plenty wine, and a ton of laughs.
we started sitting around the coffee table enjoying some apps (some brought apps the rest brought wine). then we had a little wine tasting, poured a large glass of wine, divided into teams and started cooking!
I didn't get any pics of the actual process but we made this delicious pasta dish and a garden salad with homemade poppy seed dressing.
my mom provided the cutest charlie brown tree complete with decorations.
thank god for my sister or this never would have happened!
ps I have the smallest house ever. how this table fit so perfectly is beyond me.
the stockings were hung by the chimney with care...
a little table prepared for apps and wine.
who doesn't love a christmas gift?! they were mostly just cheap dollarstore ornaments but who cares a gifts a gift. and kate got the scarf I threw in there which was perfect!
(everyone had to wear a clothespin and if you cursed you lost yours)
annddd.. the next morning... girls are messy!!! totally worth it though!
I would recommend throwing a cooking party a thousand times over. I mean, anyone can get together, break open some nachos and salsa and get drunk. why not throw in a half hour of cooking together!
ever throw/been to a cooking party?
