Liebster Award!

yay! Yesi has nominated me for the Liebster award and I couldn't be more honoured and excited!  go check out her blog to see who else she nominated!

so I have heard of the Liebster award but I didn't really know what it was so I'll explain a little..

the Rules:
1. Each blogger should post 11 random facts about themselves.

2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you, and then create 11 new questions for the bloggers you pass the award to.

3. Choose 11 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) to pass the award to and link them in your post.

4. Go to their page and tell them about the award.

5. No tag backs!

11 Random Facts:

1. I hate when people touch my neck.
2. I could live in sweat pants and uggs.
3. I hate commuting to work but getting to see my family every day makes it worth it.
4. I never wanted to be that girl who NEEDED her boyfriend, and it took me a really long time to admit it to myself, but I do.  I couldn't imagine life without him.
5. I want to travel but I'm totally not a risk taker.
6. I'm scared to start a new job.
7. I hate my blog design.
8. I'm addicted to TV.
9. I could eat my dad's chicken dinner every day for the rest of my life.
10. I need a cup of coffee every day.
11. I love wine.

Yesi's Questions:

1. If you could pick your dream job, what would it be? Why?
well I'm hoping it is going to be the job I just got!  but I think that my ultimate job would be running my own company.  something crafty and creative.  something where I design and/or make the products.
2. What is your favorite song at this very moment?
we are never ever getting back together by Taylor Swift.  love Taylor but I especially love this song because every time it comes on the radio my sister and I belt it out like crazy people.
3. What would you like for Christmas?
hair extensions.  but I don't know if I will be able to wait that long for them.  might have to get them as an early present for myself.  I can't really think of anything else.  yarn, or gift certificates, or money!
4. (I really liked this question so I am including it.) 3. What blog(s) or blogger(s) inspire you?
well, obviously the ones that I nominate!  but I think the first blog I read and instantly fell in love with was Linny's Vault.  she's freaking hilarious and right from the start I felt like she gave a shit about my comments or tweets I sent her.  she never responded with the generic 'thanks for the comment!' but actually had something legit to say.
Tamara is also another of my faves.  she's so down to earth and again I felt like I was talking to a real person!
Clare and Katrin are more inspirations for sure.  Clare is so cute and makes me want to cook/eat/try new things and Katrin is just a sweetheart!  always has the nicest things to say!
5. What is your favorite season? Why?
summer through and through.  I live on an island so being 5 minutes from a beach at all times is pretty amazing, especially when it's 30 degrees out.
6. Who is your favorite (Hottest) actor that you are in love with now? Or Actress?
hmm.  love Ian Somerhalder or Paul Wesley.  dreamy.
7. Why did you begin blogging?
I've been reading blogs and watching YouTube videos for as long as I can remember and I've always wanted to have my own blog or channel and since I'm too much of a chicken to go in front of a camera every day I figured this would be a good direction!
8. If you can travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
south.  I want to go to a resort somewheres and just lay on the beach for a week and drink and eat.
9. What is your favorite thing about yourself now?
I guess my hair?  I've been going to an actual hair dresser lately and have been putting bits of blond in it and am lovin it.
10. Who is your favorite Disney Character? Who is your least Favorite? Why?
growing up Goofy was my go to guy.  I bought a huge stuffed Goofy when we went on a family vacay to Disney land when I was little.
11. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
hopefully moving up the business chain at my new job! likely living in the city, hopefully with a couple for neices and nephews and maybe even a ring on my finger. who knows!

my Questions:

1. (Stealing from Yesi) what blog(s) or blogger(s) inspire you?
2. What's the oldest memory you can remember?
3. What is one of your fears and why?

7. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
8. Coffee or tea?
9. What is your favourite and least favourite thing about fall?
10. Who's the most famous person you ever met?
11. What's your favourite movie?

I swear I'm not just saying this because you totally tooted my horn big time but I can SO relate to #3-6 of your random facts.

Commuting is the freakin' worst but the fact that my grandparents & brother live in the city where I work kind of make it better cause I get to see them a lot. Dude, I swore up & down that I'd never ever be that girl that needs a man to be around. Swore. And guess what, I'm totally that girl. I love my husband, could definitely live without him but never want to. Damn those fellas for being so damn cute & reeling us in.

When I was 16 I told my mom I was going to jump on a train & travel the U.S. for a year, haha. Yeah, that totally didnt happen because I watched a special on serial killers & then realized I was probably going to have to prostitute myself for food. Staying put was probably a good idea haha.

Aw, you're too sweet! Thank you SO MUCH for the nomination! I'm heading out on vacation and am in crazy packing/cleaning/errand mode, so I'm not sure if I'll have time to respond with a post before I go (though I will try!) If I don't, please know that it's at the top of my to-do list when I come back and I am totally honoured! You ROCK!

I'm officially joining the "wish I didn't but totally need my man" club. *sigh*

Good call on the train. It's like the #1 mode of transport for serial killers on the lam. If you'd gone that route and ended up in a ditch I might never have "met" you, and then who would I complain to all the time?? Hmmm??

Such a cool shout out! And I'm with you on #1 - I hate people touching my neck, too. I mean, why would they even do that? Have to check out some of the blogs you nominated!

I understand what you mean about #4 - I was hurt by a few guys (and friends), and I didn't want to have to depend on one. But my husband was so patient with my insecurities from past problems. Now I don't mind admitting that I need him.
